Alpha Balkhauser Kotten

The Manufactory Güde collaborated with the Balkhauser Kotten board of trustees to create the "Balkhauser Kotten" knife edition. The handles are made from the old oak water wheel, and the knives feature a signet designed by artist Heinz-Peter Knoop for authenticity. Over half of the sales proceeds support the Kotten, which dates back to 1504 and is now run voluntarily. The blades are hand-forged from chrome vanadium molybdenum knife steel, undergo 40 manual operations, and are rustproof, ice-hardened, and hand-sharpened. The handles are not dishwasher safe.
